Headlight Lenses
In 1917, Congress enacted legislation requiring the use of non-glare headlights. By the 1919 effective date of the law, Smith was manufacturing the first non-glare headlight lenses for Model T Fords. The company would continue to supply Ford Motor Co. with headlights through World War II, when that company opened its own factory to manufacture them.
